Catherine Hardman

I live in Stratford Ontario and have worked in the field of addictions and mental health for 35 years. It is a population I am passionate about as I believe everyone deserves to be treated with respect, dignity, kindness and compassion, regardless of their story.

I'm excited to be a Humanist Officiant as humanist principles and values reflect how I live my life. Being accountable for how I am in the world and equally holding others accountable for their actions, leading with kindness and compassion and continuously learning.

I have a great sense of humour and enjoy travelling, so although I live in Stratford, I'm willing to travel within Ontario. I also enjoy reading, music and playing games or just hanging out with family and friends.

To be the Officiant at a couple's wedding, one of the most significant days of their life is a privilege. To get to know and understand their story, their hopes and dreams for the day and their lives is very special and something I'm honoured to do. I'll work with you to develop the ceremony that is meaningful to you and reflects your values and the love you have for each other.

Equally a privilege, is supporting people during one of the most difficult times in their lives, when they have to say good-bye to a loved one. I'll work with you to ensure the ceremony reflects the person being honoured and will bring comfort to their family and friends.
