Sarah Donovan

I live in Cork with my wife and two lurcher dogs although I’m originally from Kilkenny. I have been a passionate humanist for a long time and am a committed member of the Cork Humanist group. I firmly believe that all people deserve to be treated equally and with respect in all matters it was my involvement in the Marriage Equality referendum that spurred my interest in becoming a celebrant.

I feel it is such a great privilege to be collaborating with you at your most meaningful moments. My role is to guide you towards celebrating your family landmarks in a warm, personal, and meaningful way. These are some of the most important days of your life and require special care. As we craft your ceremony, I will listen carefully to you and bring your personality to the heart of it. Your character will be stamped all over it. I will bring calm, knowledge, and professionalism to your day and hopefully a large helping of fun too!

I worked for many years as a Secondary School teacher in Dublin and more recently with adults in the Further Education sector in Cork. I love music, sing in a choir and play the ukulele. I am a vegan and love food. I am also a camper-van enthusiast (whenever I can get the old banger to start!)
