About Anna

My name is Anna, and I am a licensed officiant with Humanist Canada, authorized to perform legal marriages anywhere in Ontario. I also offer personalized, non-religious ceremonies to mark life’s meaningful transitions – the happy ones, the hard ones, and the bittersweet-in-betweens.

Over the past decade, I have designed and facilitated meaningful gatherings through my personal and professional life. Whether leading workshops, coordinating public events, or creating intimate ceremonies, I am drawn to experiences that help people feel connected, seen, and present with one another.

By day, I work in the municipal water sector supporting the protection of our shared water resources. This work keeps me grounded in the rhythms of the natural world and continually reminds me of the interconnectedness of people, place, and community - themes that often find their way into the ceremonies I create.

As an ambassador of Humanist Canada, I am committed to inclusive, accessible ceremony. Many people continue to encounter barriers when seeking ceremonial services based on belief, identity, or marital history. I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to celebrate life’s milestones with dignity and without judgement, and to exercise their legal right to marry in a way that reflects their own values.

Having grown up with the freedom to explore and embrace my queer identity, I am especially passionate about creating affirming spaces where people can define happiness and belonging on their own terms.

I am based in Hamilton, Ontario, and also serve the Toronto and Peterborough areas. In my spare time, you can find me being happily dragged along by my beloved dog Joey on brisk walks, crafting, cooking, and nurturing my community.
